The Ultimate Healthy Dessert Recipes to Celebrate World Chocolate Day in Style
- 06.07.21
Attention, chocolate lovers!
Whether you're a low-key chocolate lover or all-in cocoa connoisseur, like it dark, milky, bitter, or sickly sweet, there is no denying that most of us have a weakness for chocolate!
Originating from South America, the Cacao Tree produces nutritional cocoa beans rich in Magnesium and Vitamin C to craft one of the most decadent and versatile foods on earth: chocolate. Did you know it takes approximately 400 cocoa beans to make just 45g of chocolate, and the annual consumption of cocoa beans averages about 600,000 tonnes?... Woah!
Let's get to the good part... World Chocolate Day!
World Chocolate Day marks the anniversary of chocolate making its grand debut in Europe back in 1550. Now, a household dessert, snack, and staple ingredient worldwide, chocolate holds a firm place in most cultures and is used to create some of the most mouth-watering recipes from cakes to shakes and cronuts to donuts... But who says you can't have your favourite treats without compromising your health and body goals?
Now that we have your attention, in celebration of World Chocolate Day (July 7th, 2021), we're bringing you some of our favourite HEALTHY chocolate recipes that are easy to whip up and enjoy as a treat or every day... because, why not?
